IREX's Partnerships with Youth (PWY) project conducted a midline assessment of youth participating in programming at its partner youth-serving organizations. The assessment allows the project to compare how prepared youth are for a successful adulthood before and after participating in programming and to compare them to youth across the West Bank.

The assessment, which was led by youth enumerators, establishes a clear growth in youth development before and after participating in programming. Analysis points to specific programming as the most effective for preparing youth for adulthood in a variety of areas, including building confidence for employment and creating peaceful communities. Finally, the assessment confirms that PWY partner organizations offer unique opportunities to youth to develop the skills and knowledge for adulthood. Assessment data will inform PWY and our partners in effective project implementation, and support USAID and other Palestinian youth development stakeholders to identify the most effective programming targets.
