Bangladesh Youth Employment Pilot (BYEP) Program Description & Assessment Findings

This report summarizes the findings of one of USAID’s first youth and agriculture assessments, focusing on youth employment opportunities in the fresh water prawn sector in Bangladesh.  It then proposes several design recommendations for an 18-month pilot project to train and place 360 youth in jobs in the sector.  Results of the pilot are summarized in a 2-page brief: http://idd.edc.org/resources/publications/bangladesh-youth-employment-pilot?page=8
