About this Event
With the growing risks of climate change, how can young people contribute to addressing climate change in universities? This webinar talks about how youth at two universities in Central Asia are making a difference through higher education engagement.
Relevant for staff and students of higher education institutions (HEIs), youth-serving organizations, and young changemakers, this webinar helps to:
- Clarify ways that universities and students can work together effectively to address climate change
- Highlight the potential and actual contributions of young people to advocacy effectively for climate change mitigation and response
The webinar features Sabit Mukhanov, Rector's Associate, Atyrau Oil and Gas University, Kazakhstan as well as Meerim Samieva, graduate student and eco activist, Kyrgyzstan.
This event also includes a short members meeting, which serves as a great opportunity to learn more about the CoP and get engaged.
