This report presents the findings of comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) in the teacher education study, which aimed to produce a high quality, evidence-informed situation analysis report that will guide the scale-up and implementation of teacher training programmes in CSE in the African continent. The situational analysis used a combination of review methods, which included: 1) conducting a comprehensive desk review across the 21 countries. 2) a mapping exercise of all teacher training institutions (TTIs) in the 21 countries; and 3) in-depth data collection and analysis across the education sectors in six countries—Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Uganda, Tanzania and Zambia.
