This one-day workshop offered concrete insights, frameworks, and tools for United States Agency for International Development (USAID) staff to design youth-inclusive agricultural market and food systems projects in order to advance the outcomes of the Global Food Security Strategy (GFSS) under Feed the Future. The workshop is based on the Feed the Future Project Design Guide for Youth-Inclusive Agriculture and Food Systems, Volumes I and II, developed by YouthPower Learning, as a way to support USAID to integrate youth into the U.S. Feed the Future initiative and the U.S. Government’s GFSS. The purpose of this guide is to enable USAID staff and implementing partners to intentionally consider the distinct aspirations, assets, opportunities, and barriers of youth populations when designing projects and activities in support of the U.S. Feed the Future Initiative and the U.S. Government’s Global Food Security Strategy.
