USAID/Guatemala commissioned YouthPower2: Learning and Evaluation (YP2LE) to conduct the Guatemala Youth Landscape Assessment (YLA). The YLA provides a comprehensive analysis of the youth landscape to help USAID/Guatemala design new youth-focused activities, adapt existing ones under the 2020–2025 Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS), and map key stakeholders in youth development. The findings and recommendations aim to guide USAID, youth organizations, the Mission Youth Working Group, the Government of Guatemala, and donor partners in supporting youth engagement across various sectors.

The YLA covers education, migration, employment, crime, health, civic participation, and access to services, while also engaging Indigenous youth (Garifuna, Maya, and Xinka) in the process. It focuses on the Alta Verapaz Department, where 93% of the population is Indigenous, and 42% are youth.

Both the final report and a summary brief are available, with versions provided in Spanish.
