About the Event
This webinar will review the key lessons from application of USAID’s labor market assessment (LMA) toolkit, first developed by FHI 360 under the USAID Workforce Connections project (2014-19). Participants will walk through the core set of LMA elements and tools, then learn about innovative applications to enhance inclusion of at-risk and vulnerable populations, such as youth-led LMAs and LMAs specifically benefiting adolescent girls and young women. The conversation will also touch on future innovations such as green jobs.
Speakers will bring perspectives of both headquarters and field-based technical staff from organizations including FHI 360 and IESC, including:
- John Lindsay, Associate V.P. for Workforce, Entrepreneurship, and Youth, International Executive Service Corps
- Nora Sohnen, Technical Advisor for Global Education, FHI 360
- Obed Diener, Technical Advisor for Workforce Development and Youth, FHI 360
- Tommy Galloway, Technical Officer, FHI 360
- Grace Lwin, Youth Economic Empowerment Specialist, FHI 360
This webinar is open to all and will be especially useful to development practitioners, youth-serving organizations, or researchers that are involved in job creation and workforce development initiatives in low- and middle-income countries, or others seeking to implement LMAs or apply learning from LMAs.
