About the Event
Implementation research generates evidence in real-time to strengthen the delivery of programs within context. It does this by centering participant and implementer voices in research and decision-making. For positive youth development programs, this involves championing the leadership of youth in research for contextually-relevant evidence generation.
Watch this interactive discussion of how implementation research can be used to advance positive youth development programming. During this session, participants had a chance to apply Implementation Research approaches highlighted in the Research-to-Change Toolkit to their own work and learn from other attendees.
This event is relevant for young people who want to make better use of evidence to improve their work and for experienced research and evaluation professionals who are looking to further engage young people in generating and using evidence.

The participants were asked to do the following:
1.) Reflect on the following questions: Which of your current programs or initiatives do you feel would most benefit from using research to incorporate feedback from implementers and participants? How might you describe this program? Why did you select this program?
2.) Explore Youth Excel’s Approach to Implementation Research.
