About the Event

Hear directly from two leaders whose lived experiences and innovative, strategic efforts are transforming the mental health and child protection (also referred to as “child welfare”) systems in the United States:

  • Sixto Cancel, founder and CEO of Think of Us, a research and design lab that works with government agencies, lawmakers, providers, advocates, and foundations to transform child welfare at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Arc Telos Saint Amour (they/them/their), or Tay for short, is the Executive Director of Youth MOVE National, a youth led and driven, chapter-based organization that unites and amplifies the voices of youth with lived experience in various systems, including the mental health, juvenile justice, education, and child welfare systems, in order to create positive system change for all youth to thrive.

Presented by USAID's YouthPower 2: Learning and Evaluation Activity, the Youth Systems Strengthening (YSS) Community of Practice (CoP) serves youth, practitioners in youth-led and youth-serving organizations, and others in advancing comprehensive systems change to improve live of young people.
