USAID’s Youth in Development Policy recognizes the importance of transforming youth systems, and its Companion Guide offers up the Youth Systems Collaborative Framework as a way of understanding how those systems operate. Rachel Blum and Nada Berrada from Education Development Center (EDC) provided an overview of the Youth Systems Collaborative Framework and spoke about its role in designing, evaluating, and capturing systems-level changes in three youth workforce development programs in Senegal, Rwanda, and the Philippines. Following their brief presentation, Rachel and Nada joined participants in a discussion about bridging the gap between theory and practice when it comes to youth-related systems change.
Presented by USAID's YouthPower 2: Learning and Evaluation Activity, the Youth Systems Strengthening (YSS) Community of Practice (CoP) serves youth, practitioners in youth-led and youth-serving organizations, and others in advancing comprehensive systems change to improve live of young people.
