About this Event
Over the last decade, Generation Global has supported more than half a million young people and trained over 13,000 teachers from more than 30 countries to be global citizens. Their model has been tried and tested in partnership with seven governments and the resources it provides are recognized as best practice by the UK Department for Education, UNESCO, the Brookings Institute, and the National Council for Social Studies. During the COVID-19 pandemic, and with one billion young people affected by school closures, Generation Global wanted to continue to offer free, flexible learning resources for young people, and high-quality support for teachers and schools. Therefore they quickly pivoted to develop the self-directed learning game for youth aged 13 –17, Ultimate Dialogue Adventure.
Join YouthPower 2 Learning and Evaluation (YP2LE) and Tony Blair Institute for Global Change on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 as we introduce the Institute for Global Change’s new learner centered pathway, the Ultimate Dialogue Adventure. During the session, we will provide information on how practitioners, educators, and youth can use this pathway in formal and non-formal education settings, how to leverage the platform in existing programs, lessons learned in the development process, and provide information on accreditation provided through the pathway.

ABOUT YOUTHPOWER2: LEARNING AND EVALUATION (YP2LE)
YP2LE activities will bring USAID’s Journey to Self-Reliance and Youth in Development Policy to life by enabling investments in PYD research and evaluation within and across multiple sectors, including health, education, agriculture/food security, economic opportunity, peace and security, democracy, and human rights and governance. YP2LE will build and disseminate PYD evidence across multiple sectors; offer leadership in promoting PYD best practices; and provide rapid response, technical assistance to USAID staff to design, implement, and evaluate youth activities. The goal of these activities is to give practitioners the information, tools, and resources they need to develop high-quality, impactful, and sustainable youth programs, allowing empowered youth, working with supportive adults, to create the kind of sustainable change in individuals and systems that leads to self-reliance.

ABOUT #REACHING16
The goal of the Peace and Security #Reaching16 Campaign, led by YouthPower2: Learning and Evaluation (YP2LE) and the United Nations Development Programme’s Youth Global Programme on Sustainable Development and Peace (UNDP Youth-GPS), is to highlight the need for peace, justice, and strong institutions and the youth leading projects and activities to achieve that. Youth play a critical role in peacebuilding efforts, as the UN has made apparent within their Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). “Reaching 16” refers to reaching SDG 16 to promote just, peaceful, and inclusive societies. It also is a reference to ensuring youth reach the age of 16 and beyond by stabilizing communities.
In conjunction with this session participants are encouraged to participate in the #Reaching16 online campaign focused on youth promoting peace and inclusion. Learn more about the #Reaching16 campaign here.
