About
Issues affecting youth are systemic and complex. They cannot be addressed using traditional linear solutions. To analyze and address complex issues, holistic approaches are needed, especially ones that consider the root systemic reasons of why problems persist.
YouthPower2: Learning and Evaluation (YP2LE) is hosting a three-part Systems Mapping Training series for members of the YouthPower Learning Network. This tailored training will give you a better understanding of systems thinking. The series consists of the three webinars listed below.
Session 1: Participants will be introduced to systems thinking and the importance of working with a systems mindset. In session 1, participants will start to learn the basics of systems mapping. Watch the recording here.
Session 2: Participants will work through an interactive session to learn the process of systems mapping, including defining the challenge question, drawing the boundary of the system, and co-creating a systems map. Watch the recording here.
Session 3: Participants will learn how to leverage the systems map to inform strategic decisions, including determining key points within the system that are ripe for change and prioritizing and action planning around those leverage points.
