About this Event
Join USAID's YouthPower2: Learning and Evaluation (YP2LE) activity for a Learning Network Event to launch the Youth Civic Engagement Country Snapshots Dashboard.
During this Learning Network Event, participants will be introduced to and learn more about how the newly launched dashboard was developed, including survey data collection activities on youth civic engagement that are captured in the interactive dashboard. The dashboard aims to help youth practitioners better understand youth perceptions, behaviors, and motivations related to youth civic engagement and potential opportunities to address related gaps in youth-specific interventions.
In addition to understanding how the dashboard was developed, participants will learn:
- How the findings can support programming priorities and investments in youth civic engagement activities;
- How different audiences can interact and use the dashboard; and
- *How violence or economic constraints influence youth's motivations or serve as barriers to youth civic engagement.
The dashboard was developed through survey data collected in the following 10 countries:
- Armenia
- Bangladesh
- Dominican Republic
- Ethiopia
- Guatemala
- Iraq
- Kyrgyzstan
- Lebanon
- Mali
- Serbia
* The information presented in the dashboard is reflective of the specific regional subset where data was collected and not necessarily representative on a global scale.
ABOUT YOUTHPOWER2: LEARNING AND EVALUATION (YP2LE)
YP2LE is a USAID-funded activity focused on building and disseminating the evidence on Positive Youth Development (PYD). YP2LE’s goal is to give program implementers, researchers, and young changemakers the information, tools, and resources they need to develop high-quality, impactful, and sustainable youth programs.
Launched in 2018 under the USAID-funded activity YouthPower Learning and continued under YP2LE, YouthLead.org is designed for young changemakers making a positive impact in their community through service, activism, advocacy, education, and entrepreneurship. Our network members are focused on finding solutions by connecting people, ideas, and resources to tackle critical issues affecting young people at home and around the world.
