The Communities of Practice (CoPs) are spaces for youth and youth-serving practitioners to come together to share ideas, tools, and build and test practical resources to advance Positive Youth Development (PYD) through collaboration, dialogue, and collective sharing and learning.
The Youth Engagement CoP will be a community space focused on approaches to fostering, participating in, and building support and evidence for meaningful youth engagement. Meaningful Youth Engagement: Principles and Examples: Thursday, February 11, 9:00-10:30 AM EST
Hosted by YouthPower 2: Learning and Evaluation's Youth Engagement Community of Practice, this webinar focused on Meaningful Youth Engagement, what it means and how it can be achieved. Practitioners and youth advocates shared best practices on how young people can be meaningfully involved in accountability actions to ensure we achieve the SDGs by 2030 as well as wider development programming. The speakers for the event were: (1) Jean Manney, Hub Director, Restless Development USA; (2) Wiem Chamsi, Youth Activist & Consultant, Tunisia; (3) Inés Yábar, Senior Global Campaigns Coordinator, Restless and (4) Nafisa Ferdous, Gender Advocacy and Programs Manager, Restless Development USA.

You will meet the Youth Engagement CoP Champion and Youth Advisor, learn about the CoP, the opportunities for engaging within the CoP and across the network, and you will have the opportunity to contribute your ideas, needs, and expertise to developing the learning agenda for the first 6 months of the CoP.
